I went to LU- was forced by my parents because I was a bad kid who asked too many science questions and couldn’t just have “faith”. I can’t say that I am or am not a Christian- there are lots of things we just don’t know. I have an open mind and am fascinated by the universe. After getting my (worthless) degree in business at LU, I went to another university and received a degree in Chemistry and now teach it. I will say from a scientific point of view, Liberty is scared of information. We know from history that when one group limits another groups access to information, it is because there is fear and there is a struggle for control. I question LU’s committment to academia and because of that, do not endorse it as a good university. Certainly, if you want to study religion or english or something along those lines, your learning may not be compromised, but if you would like to study science, history, math, (and PLEASE, as the origional post said something about a medical school— please don’t go here for that) then avoid this school. You will not be competent along side your professional peers in these subjects as Liberty has a tendency to put their own spin on things.
For those of you having bad experiences, my advice is to not be bitter. You are of an adult age, make your decision, and either leave the school or be positive. If someone told me that at age 19 I could have saved 4 years of my life… But I guess we are made up of our experiences. Good luck to all and to everyone- have an open mind to every idea. The truth is not afraid of information.

It isn’t as if any rational person still believes the USA is a free country. Think about it. No-warrant wire taps, indefinite detention of citizens without charges, approval of rendition of prisoners and torture, stop and frisk without probable cause, search and seizure without a warrant, no-knock entry, confiscation and destruction of cameras that might have been used to film police acting illegally, police brutality, police shootings that go without investigation, managed news, and the civil-rights destroying “Patriot” Act.

Acts of police behaving illegally, with shootings, tasers, and unwarranted violence now appear almost daily. Rarely are these offenses punished. Most often “an investigation” is claimed, but soon forgotten.

In addition, the USA, with 5% of the world population, has 25% of all of the prisoners in the world. That means the USA has the most people in prison of any nation in history. Even by percentage of residents incarcerated, not just sheer numbers. USA is # 1

Does any of that sound like a free country?

Hmm..
Do you also live in metaphor’s, ‘theoretically’.
Your story felt familiar.
I feel as if I arrive to the same mental state, eg. Comedy, as if I had come through the back door.
Or
Laughing when I get bad news.
Basically a state of unorthodox mental process.
It’s kinda running my life at the moment and I’ve just kinda given up. So with a positive smile I will let it run its course, delusion can be powerful. Find what makes you happy and hold on to it like a security blanket. Understand, don’t fight the game, play the game.
I probably sound crazy right now but this philosophy has helped me off drink,grass,ice and DMT, still have a porn complex though and on Effexor XR for anxiety and depression.
Remember delusions are hallucinations by deception, such symptoms open the door to schitzophrania. Asperges/autism are also in relation to such symptoms also.
By the way I’m no doctor, just a curious
patient.

Your life may have been busy but it seems to have taken a strong turn for the better. Congratulations!

Yes, there may still be setbacks or parts that are not as pleasing. But, in perspective, two steps forward and one back is still a step forward.

In the practice of Tae Kwon Do, we had a principle called “Pi Sung” meaning “Indomitable Spirit” or never give up. That applies to far more than self-defense, it applies to life. If a technique in TKD or playing the guitar (as I am doing again now)is difficult, do not avoid it or give up practice it relentlessly until t is no longer an obstacle but a show piece.
